How do you help 11,000 postmasters across the UK track their daily performance across more than 100 product lines? The Post Office needed a secure, accessible solution that would transform raw sales data into actionable insights for their nationwide network of branches.
We built a comprehensive performance tracking system that gives postmasters complete visibility into their sales and commission earnings. This wasn’t just about reporting—it was about empowering branch managers with the information they need to optimise their product mix and maximise their income.
The system securely collects daily sales data via web services, then transforms it into intuitive reports showing exactly which products were sold and the commission earned. Postmasters can instantly see their performance trends, identify their most profitable services, and make informed decisions about where to focus their efforts.
Recognizing that postmasters need this information wherever they are, we developed the solution to work seamlessly across multiple platforms—web, iPad, Blackberry, and Android. Rather than creating separate applications, we engineered a single underlying control system with web services connecting all platforms, ensuring consistent data and user experience regardless of device.
The technical architecture we designed balances security (essential when handling financial data) with accessibility and ease of use. The result is a solution that delivers powerful functionality without requiring technical expertise from users, making advanced data analytics available to postmasters of all technical abilities.
